Rons S-10 Back to lay the front out on 20's and do a traditional body
drop to lay rocker flat on the pavement... We'll be setting the front
up with tubular control arms, CTC shock mounts, ditching the a/c and
heat, smoothing the firewall, ditching the abs, relocating the slave
cylinder inside the truck, Hydra boost brake booster for clearance and
some huge wheel tubs to lay the sucker out. Then we will body drop the
cab and bed, do some wheel tubs in the back and sheet the floor and
sides for that smooth look.
Let the cutting begin.
Looks a little messy but we'll
get it all straightened out and looking and functioning better.
Even after
3 years rons truck has held up pretty good. Just routine maintenance
and a much needed set of upper and lower ball joints.
Still holds title as one of my favorite
tube work designs. Even after 3 years
Floors cut now we drop the cab
Cab
dropped the 3" we need to get the rockers on the pavement.
Floor welded back together
Core
support mounts dropped
Big tubs in the firewall and the a/c
holes are smoothed out.
Just
a minimal amount of filler is needed to smooth everything out.
Truck
looks a ton better tucking some serious 20 inchers in the front.
All that is left is some wiring and the box and you'll see it
cruising to a show near you.
Firewall all primed up.
The
bed is fit back on the truck and the rear tubs are mocked up.
Now its on to wiring and brake lines, Were also installing Airlifts
Digital controller and hiding the tank under the bed.
New sub floor is built. Wheel tubs are
in and we are currently sheeting the floor and the sides for the
smooth look.
