Scotts Acura came back for a the addition of a pancake tank, two chrome
three gallon tanks, a third compressor, and a false floor. He wanted the
tanks to be floating in the sides of the trunk so that's what we did for
him.
Its a tight squeeze but all three compressors
are mounted in between the bumper support and the body. The stock
bumper cover slips around them and hides them from sight and the
elements.
The new subfloor is built from 1x1 square
tube and is covered with a 5/8" thick MDF board. We carpeted
the mdf to match the stock trunk liner. It features a removable
center section to gain access to the pancake tank and all pieces
are easily removable.
The
tank features tight tolerance slip fit tubes. Two counter sunk
bolts hold the tanks in place. All that is required is disconnecting
the two lines and the tanks slip right out,
