Andy's Sonoma part II. The truck was totaled in June 2003 Not more than one month after it was finished the first time. Andy's new frame is done and should be out by the time you read this. The new chassis now sports a custom gas tank crossmember which lifts the gas tank 1" off the ground for added clearance. The tubing is welded into place and features a 5 gallon tank integrated into the frame, But the gas tank crossmember is still removable for easy access. The Frame has been boxed in front to back and all the holes have been welded shut. The wiring now runs through the frame so there are no exposed wires. The chassis has been powder coated metalic silver.

These are a few pics of the damage from the accident that caused Andy to pick up a new frame and bring it back to the shop to be rebuilt. As you can see, the front frame horns were bent up pretty bad, and unfortunately a frame rack was unable to be used.

Frame being blasted in house.

Nothing but bare metal

The front framerails smoothed and the control arm hats blended in

Reverse triangulated 4-link leveraged it gets some crazy lift

Custom rounded notches you won't find them on any other truck

All the holes are welded shut and the frame is fully boxed in

The frame once again lays out on 20's and has full lock to lock steering in the front.

The frame gets 16" of lift in the back and 13" in the front.

The frame is currently getting reblasted to get a quick cleaning before it goes to the powder coater. I'll have some new pics of what it looks like cleaned off and powder coated.

Just some pics of Andy's frame after SandCraft Sandblasting Cleaned it up. The frame is now powder coated Metalic Silver and the truck is again back out on the road better than before.
