When we pulled the passenger side line out
we found a screw stuck into the line to stop a leak this wasn't
from the header and honestly we couldn't figure out what would
have caused it.
|

There was a crazy kink in the line.
|

The main reason for there being a kink in
the line was that the upper coilspring mount needs to be trimmed
open for the line to have a straight shot out.
|
Much better
|
All in all there were 3 leaks just in the
front passenger side. 1 was the header blowing the line out. 2
was the screw in the line. 3 was the fact that the gauge sending
unit was cross threaded in to the big red valves. We drilled and
tapped it straight. Now no more leaks.
|

Just a simple trunk setup with
a second battery. After the car was dropped off we started the
comps up to air the car up since it leaked out so fast. The comps
honestly ran for 20 minutes before they shut off. I thought perhaps
the reed valves were broken allowing the air to come back into
the comp. But on closer inspection I realized the shop had installed
the passenger comp check valve backwards. The comp wasn't pumping
air at all. I flipped it around and it works like a champ now.
But that poor comp must have been pissed.

To
help keep the line from blowing out a second time we wrapped both
sides in 500 degree aluminized sleeving. It dissipates 90% of
the heat from the headers to the line.

The car aired up and ready to go.
